Will Trains The Complete Collection work on Mac OS 10.10 (Yosemite)?

On October 16th, 2014 Apple released a new operating system, Yosemite (10.10) that is a free upgrade to existing Mac OS customers.  Unfortunately this new operating system upgrade is incompatible with Trains The Complete Collection.  Although not recommended, you may choose to not install Yosemite on systems where you have your DVD collection installed to keep enjoying your existing back-issue collection.

Will The 70 Years of Trains on DVD run on tablet computers, media players, e-readers or smart phones?

The Train Complete Collection will only run on a computer with the system requirements specified above.  It is not meant to run on other devices.

Why when I try to recall a favorite does it give an error message?

A fix is available and only necessary if you do NOT have V.1.1 (identified on the DVD case and individual DVD's).
Click here for the application fix.

When getting ready to install Disk 2 of the Trains Complete Collection, after inserting the disk a dialog pops up on Windows XP saying “Please go to the Control Panel to install and configure system components.”

This is a known bug with some configurations and is dependent on when the disk is put into the system.  Hitting OK will allow the installation to proceed.  You don’t need to go into the Control Panel.

Why doesn’t the scroll bar go all the way to the bottom of the window in the Trains Complete Collection?

This is due to the manner in which the application resizes as well as the monitor resolution.   The reason that the scroll area does not extend beyond the area is that there is not enough room to fully display the next row of images.

Can I rotate the pages of the magazine?

Unfortunately at this time pages cannot be rotated for easier reading on screen.  For those pages that aren’t in portrait orientation, you can print the PDF from the Trains Complete Collection.

Some pages appear crooked when printed.

Some pages might be slightly skewed and may not align perfectly.  This is due to the age and condition of the magazines and the capability of the scanning process.

Why do some of the thumbnails overlap?

This is by design and intended to maintain accurate search result representation for those articles that are in the spread format.  You can still get to the underlying page by clicking the lower corner.

Can I install the Trains Complete Collection on a network drive?

The Trains Complete Collection is not intended to be installed on a network drive or device.

Can I install the Trains Complete Collection on an external drive?
