June 1, 2007 WAUKESHA, WI — Jewelry lovers and fashionistas rejoice. The Bead&Button Show, the country's largest consumer bead show, is back.
Anyone who loves wearing or making jewelry needs to experience this event, June 3-10, at the Midwest Airlines Center in Milwaukee.
Few hobbies are as popular right now as jewelry making. People make jewelry for a variety of reasons — to give as a gift, to wear with a particular outfit, to bond with loved ones, to relax, or to sell.
No event in the country celebrates this artistic pastime and its participants better than the annual Bead&Button Show, produced by Bead&Button magazine and Kalmbach Publishing Co.
Last year's Show welcomed more than 14,000 jewelry enthusiasts from all 50 states and 20 countries. June 8-10 the Bead&Button Show will transform the Midwest Airlines Center's third floor into an international marketplace as more than 370 vendors from around the world show off and sell their one-of-a-kind beads and jewelry pieces. For those three days, shoppers enjoy the unique opportunity to purchase handcrafted jewelry from the artist who created it. And if shoppers can't find the jewelry piece they're looking for, they can learn to make it during one of the more than 480 classes available at all skill levels.
Watch editors of Bead&Button, BeadStyle magazine, and ArtJewelry magazine share their excitement, expectations, and tips for enjoying this year's Show in these online videos.
