Kalmbach Publishing launches Facet, a new jewelry-making destination site
Published: May 26, 2016
|Today Kalmbach Publishing launches FacetJewelry.com, an online resource offering hundreds of free projects and educational tools for jewelry makers of all types and talents. Facet will be the new online home of Bead&Button magazine, and will also serve customers of the former Art Jewelry and Bead Style magazines.|
Jewelry makers will find hundreds of free how-to projects – many previously available only to magazine subscribers – with more new content added weekly. All major techniques and mediums are covered, including stitching, stringing, metal, wire, clays, resin, and fiber and cord. The elegant and intuitive site includes informative videos, reliable and complete how-to instructions, and inspiring photo galleries.
Blogs from our editors will highlight the latest products and keep the jewelry-making community up to date with trends, products, and people.
Facet is designed to work as well on a phone or tablet as it does on a laptop – making it easy to accommodate jewelry-making inspiration anytime and anywhere it strikes.
Those who are ready to try something new can check out the Getting Started areas, where they’ll find easy-to-follow instructions about the foundations of a particular technique plus projects ideal for starting out. A How-To area for each technique goes a step further by offering more advanced instructions and tutorials – perfect for someone who wants to refresh their memory or build more skills.
Facet provides the complete package for jewelry makers who love to be inspired, learn new techniques, and make beautiful jewelry to wear, give, or sell.
Kalmbach Publishing Co., based in suburban Milwaukee, publishes 12 special-interest magazines – including Bead&Button, Discover, Model Railroader, Astronomy and Trains and related books, and produces websites and events, including the annual Bead&Button Show, based on those content areas.
