Trains magazine is pleased to offer its first travel-based app, Colorado Railroads. The free app offers more than 260 railroad locations to explore, from preservation railways to mainline freight carriers to passenger trains. You can use the app to find more than 80 operating and display steam locomotives. It also includes commuter and light rail stops, historic buildings, great photo locations, hobby shops, restaurants, shortline railroads, depots, buildings, and trails that keep alive the memory of historic railroads.
“The Colorado Railroads mobile app enables you to search by attractions near you, to find them on a map, and to mark your favorites,” says Trains magazine Editor Jim Wrinn. “You can plan a trip to Colorado, or let this app take you to new places if you’re in the field.”
The app builds on the success of Trains‘ Colorado Railroads special issue and DVD, both on sale now. The app is a great resource for tourists, travelers, veteran visitors, and those heading to the Centennial State for the first time.
The Colorado Railroads mobile app is available on the App Store for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch and Google Play for Android devices.
